Katie Gronsbell creates artwork depicting places she has visited around the world. The sounds, smells and images of each locale are represented in the intriguing pastel paintings, as well as the charcoal and pencil drawings that she produces.

Katie also portrays the human figure in various poses . These poses indicate a wide variety of settings. The journey begins with models in studio settings and continues with representations of a variety of people from places near and far. One can notice the application of value, color, and temperature that she uses in her paintings to whisk the viewer away to another location in the world.
